Epic Mountain
With 4,800 acres (1,943 hectares), Heavenly is one of North America's largest mountains. At over 10,000 feet (3,060 meters) , They are Tahoe's highest. The 3,500 foot vertical (1,067 metres) is unmatched on the West Coast. And the average annual snowfall is a formidable 360 inches (914cm). And if that's not enough for you, they have one of the largest snowmaking systems on the continent, covering 70% of the mountain.
Let's talk terrain. They’ve got it all, from breezy blue cruising runs to hair-raising black diamonds. There's no better tree skiing on earth. And experts will have a field day at Mott and Killebrew canyons. And don’t forget about the jaw dropping views over lake Tahoe!
Some of Heavenly’s easiest terrain is located on the upper mountain, allowing novice and intermediate skiers and riders to enjoy the scenery of the upper mountain.
In California, The “Face”, “Gunbarrel” and “East Bowl” on the lower mountain offer a challenge to even the most advanced skier or rider. At the top of Sky Express, “Ellie’s” offers undulating rolls and terrain changes. On the Nevada side, the Canyons – Mott and Killebrew are undoubtedly the most challenging runs on the mountain, providing you with more than 135 acres of pure adrenaline-pumping fun. Snake Pit, Bill’s, The “Y” and Ernie’s are steep, narrow chutes sure to get your blood pumping.
