With its renowned dry, featherlight champagne powder snow, Silver Star is a mountain with many attractions. The mountain's stunning 3,065 acres (1,240 hectares) are blanketed by 23 feet (700 cm) annually with the world's best powder. Experience 2,500 vertical feet (760 metres) of descent from the top of the mountain. Comfortable daytime temperatures average -5 C, (27F), cold enough to keep the snow light and fluffy, yet absolutely perfect for skiing.
Silver Star definitely has a back side that will challenge any hardcore enthusiast. With over 60 runs serviced by the high-speed Powder Gulch Quad, Putnam Creek is renowned for black diamond runs and deep powder snow that will test even the most fervent skier or snowboarder. Winch-cat grooming nightly creates steep fall line cruising that will leave you breathless.

TELUS Terrain Park & Rail Garden
The progressive terrain park & rail garden extends over a whopping 16 acres (6.5 hectares)! Designed for the progression of riders and skiers, you will find an assortment of table tops, step up jumps and spines. For a good mix of metal to grind, you’ll also find minis, flats, rainbows, kinks, wide rails, and boxes for skiers and snowboarders to satisfy your park cravings.

Regular Halfpipe
Skiers and boarders can work on their alley-oops and 10-80's in the halfpipe, thanks to an 18-degree slope and a 4 metre (12 foot) radius. At 140 metres long (460 feet), there’s lots of opportunity to catch some air.
Aerial Training Site & Dual Moguls Race Course
Home to the Canadian Junior National Freestyle Championships, the 530 metre (1,740 feet), FIS-certified Dual Moguls Race Course is equipped with the latest in wireless timing while the Aerial Training Site is an exceptional training venue for the pros who crave BIG air.
Race Centre
275 metres (900 feet) of thigh-burning exhilaration! Keeping safety and performance in mind, the naturally rolling terrain and impressive drop will satisfy both elite racers and recreational enthusiasts. The dedicated Race Centre is home of the Vernon Ski Club and has hosted the 2005 Canadian Masters Slalom Race, the K1 & K2 Zone Finals and the Nancy Greene Zone Finals for the Okanagan Valley.
Snowboarding Heaven at Silver Star
Silver Star has what every snowboarder dreams of — deep, dry Okanagan powder covering spectacular terrain. Free riding at Silver Star has the variety you crave, from the awesome glades and terrain features on the Attridge area, to the steep and deep chutes and natural halfpipes of Putnam Creek.
Night Skiing
You experienced the mountain during the day — now have a look at it at night. Night skiing gives you a whole new perspective on this incredibly diverse mountain. Night skiing runs 3:30- 8:00pm Thursday thru Saturday and is included in your multi-day lift ticket.
Olympic-Calibre Grooming
Silver Star’s Bombardier BR 275 grooming machines are operated by Canada’s number one grooming team. Each night after the chairlifts close, the team of groomers set out to till the front side of the mountain to deliver velvety swales of corduroy so you can cruise, and cruise fast! Silver Star's award-winning grooming team helped pioneer winch-grooming of black diamond runs as well as its renowned blue and green trail system. That is why they groomed the Downhill and Super G courses at the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics!
Snow Hosts
Join a knowledgeable Snow Hosts for a complimentary ski, snowboard and cross country mountain tours available mornings and afternoon to unlock the secrets of Silver Star. Snow Hosts meet twice daily in the village.
Mountain Cafes
Silver Star is designed to give you the most ease of access possible. Within the village centre, there are numerous dining establishments with access right off the ski run. For added convenience, Silver Star has also developed other dining areas situated around the mountain at the base of key lifts making it even easier to get a quick bite to eat without having to leave the area you wish to ski or ride in. These venues are as follows:
Bugaboos Bakery Café
Located beside the Town T-Bar on the Vance Creek boardwalk, you can taste European and Canadian specialty pastries, Dutch hot chocolate, Italian and specialty coffees, soups and sandwiches. A great lunch or après ski spot.
Paradise Camp
Offering a great selection of hot and cold food, this restaurant is located near the top of the Powder Gulch Express. Its large outdoor sundeck with barbeque is perfect for those warm, sunny days. Paradise Camp serves a broad selection of wines from Cedar Creek Estate Winery, named Winery of the Year for the second time at the 5th annual Canadian Wine Awards sponsored by Wine Access Magazine
For something different, climb aboard the twelve passenger snow-cat machine Paradise Express and travel from the village centre to Paradise Camp, a rustic cabin atop Silver Star’s Putnam Creek. The Express treks throughout the mountain under moonlit skies, giving you a true groomer’s perspective. Once at Paradise Camp, you will be greeted by our friendly staff along with wonderful aromas emanating from the kitchen. Enjoy fine wines, tables lit by lanterns and a sumptuous a la carte menu offering a variety of fare sure to suit all palettes.
Tube Town Cafeteria
With its headquarters at Silver Star’s Adventure Park, this eatery offers burgers, hot dogs and snack foods. Warm up with hot chocolate and marshmallows around the bonfire.
