At Big White there are many ski and snowboard programmes that can be tailored to suit your ability. Whether you are new to the sport or an expert looking to refine your skills, the Big White Ski & Board School has something to offer you, and you’ll have fun doing it!

Ski and Snowboard Lessons for Adults

Private or Semi-Private Lessons
At the Big White Ski & Board School it's all about you and why not, it's your vacation! There are several private coaching options that you can custom tailor to suit your needs, to fit into your schedule and to meet any budget. Learn in a one-on-one environment, or bring your friends or family with you, it’s your choice! One of the Professionally Certified Ski or Snowboard Pros will guide you around the mountain at your pace, on the runs that you want to ski or ride and help you reach your individual goals.

Ski/Board Week
For those 18 and older, a ski/board week is sure to please. Learn and improve in the morning and let loose in the afternoon to practice and explore all that Big White has to offer. Meet new friends from all over the world. Let the top experienced pros guide you all around the mountain and teach you how in style. Programme runs mid-week 4 days, 2 hours per day, Tuesday to Friday. Minimum of three people required; includes video analysis, après social and fun race.

Ski and Snowboard Lessons for Kids

TELUS Park Flight School and Heavy Metal Shop
Soar from the pipe and grind the rails in Big White’s TELUS Park. Learn the skills necessary to go from average bro to almost pro in this week long intensive all-mountain/park and pipe camp. This is not a beginner programme - all participants must be confident riders or parallel skiers. This is a 5-day program (runs Monday through Friday) and will run during our peak times. Each day consists of 4 hours of coaching, starting at 10:00 am, breaking for lunch at 12:00, and resuming 1:00 pm to finish at 3:00 pm. Minimum requirement is three people per group and is available for ages 7-17. Advance reservations are strongly recommended. Helmets are required for all participants.

Australian Snowsports Academy

A programme has been specially designed for athletes intending to compete in the Australian Interschools® Championships. Get a jump on the competition by improving your skiing or riding in racing, slopestyle and snow cross. Coaching is catered to meet individual performance needs and expectations while having fun in a safe environment.

Rentals

Whether you're a beginner, an expert or somewhere in the middle Big White has great rental gear for everybody of all ages. The all-mountain skis include an extensive selection of regular and high performance products including all-mountain and twin tip skis from Armada, Atomic, Fischer, 4FRNT, Head, Nordica, Rossignol and Salomon. New in 06-07 was Burton Cruzer boards and Burton LTR boots which are specially designed for beginner and intermediate riders to maximize their learning experience. Throw in a lesson with a Ski & Board School's top notch Pros and you'll be riding like a legend sooner than you think. They use the Flow boot and binding system with much of the board fleet and have a selection of high end Burton and Rossignol boards for the more experienced. They’ve got snowblades, X-C skis, snowshoes and helmets too. The rental shop is conveniently located on the main floor of the Village Centre Mall, while the Repair/Service Shop is located on the lower floor of the VCM and can look after all your tuning, repair and calibration requirements.
